Hyde Free Library and Technical School, Hyde Town Hall, Hyde Public Baths, Hyde Hospital, Hyde (old) Grammar School,Hyde Theatre Royal, St. Mary's Rectory, Haughton Green, the family home, 'Kensington House', 50 Stockport Rd. and many of the homes in the Lumn/Travis Street area were built by Samuel Robinson and Sons in the 1875-1917 period. Samuel and his wife Elizabeth (neƩ Shepley) became my great,great grandparents. NB - I have a photo of Rev. H. E. Dowson with John Robinson (eldest son of Samuel and Elizabeth)at the Hyde Cricket Club.
