Hett's Sweet Shop
Hett's Sweet Shop was next to the Hippodrome Cinema on Clarendon Street.
Yes I remember that. Also being kept off the platform.m.untinthe train was pulling in. Apparently the schoolboys made too much noise stamping on the wooden floors above the ticket office . Used to travel to Romiley and caught the morning train at train at 8.31

I don't remember this one... I wonder if it's the same 'Hetts' that have a fishing tackle shop on Market street?

The liquorice root was my favourite. Also off to the 4.45 at Hyde Central bound fir Romiley. From the Grammar School often carrying my double bass .
