Old Hyde features non-contemporary material, old photographs, prints &c. of the Greater Manchester/Tameside town Hyde, in the county of Cheshire. It is a companion blog to Hyde Daily Photo.
It will drive me mad now to try and remember who owned the little hardward shop that was there. I think it was Ethel Oldham, but will have to check with the parents.
I'm so glad that Elizabeth got here first... I was trying my hardest to think what the shop had been... I think theres a sign on the left hand side that say's Wrigley Street, Square or Lane.. something like that..
It does indeed say Wrigley Square, I grew up on Rowbotham Street and just about remember these properties before they got knocked down. My Parenst still live there and I only live round the corner !!
